4 real questions, Test 11 Passage 2 — scanning for a specific detail, not a theme

Matching Information asks which paragraph contains a specific piece of information — there’s no blank to fill in, just a letter to find. Here are 4 real questions from Test 11’s passage on the four-day work week.

Q14 — a definition

Q14: “A description of the specific formula used to define the reduced-hours model.”

Paragraph A defines the model as “100-80-100”: full pay, eighty per cent of the time, on the condition of maintaining full previous productivity. That’s the formula the question is pointing at.

Answer: A

Q16 — a result, not a cause

Q16: “A description of measurable improvements in employee wellbeing during the trial.”

Paragraph C reports “reduced levels of self-reported stress and burnout, improved sleep, and a markedly improved ability to balance work with other commitments” — exactly the wellbeing outcomes the question asks about.

Answer: C

Q17 — a caveat

Q17: “A caveat about the types of work for which the model is more difficult to apply.”

Paragraph E names “sectors such as healthcare, emergency services, or much of manufacturing and retail, where a defined level of staffing typically needs to be present and available at all times” as harder to apply the model to.

Answer: E

Q19 — scope and scale

Q19: “An overview of the scale and structure of a major national pilot programme.”

Paragraph B describes “a coordinated pilot programme conducted across dozens of companies in the United Kingdom, in which several thousand employees… moved to a four-day schedule for a period of six months.”

Answer: B
