3 passages, 40 questions, 60 minutes — the real IELTS Reading shape
IELTS Reading here is the real thing — 3 real passages, 40 real questions, on a 60-minute clock, graded instantly against the real answer key. Here’s the shape you’ll see every time.
The shape: 3 passages, 40 questions
Every one of the 20 real tests on this platform follows the same shape: 3 passages, 40 questions total, no exceptions. Navigation here is passage-level, not question-by-question — Prev, Next, or a clickable page number for each of the 3 passages, so you can jump straight to any one of them whenever you want.
The 6 real question types
Across those 3 passages you’ll meet 6 real types, mixed together rather than one per passage: True/False/Not Given, Yes/No/Not Given, Multiple Choice, Matching Headings, Completion (which alone covers 3 different jobs — finishing a sentence, filling blanks in a summary, and matching information to a paragraph), and Table/Flowchart Completion.
60 minutes, and no partial credit
In Test mode you get 60 minutes, and if the clock hits zero the test submits itself immediately — no extra confirmation screen. Grading is instant and fully local, checked straight against the real answer key, and every one of the 40 questions is graded strictly right or wrong — even a question with several blanks gives no partial credit.
Practice mode: check per passage, no clock
Practice mode counts up instead of down and never auto-submits. It also lets you check your answers passage by passage as you go — flip the passage over and see your answers marked directly in the text, right where the evidence for each one actually is, instead of waiting until the very end.
